Crystal Castles wouldn’t let photographers in the photo pit at Lollapalooza. I heard it was because they got sued after they broke someones camera during a show or something. I didn’t really care about shooting them too much, but knowing that I couldn’t made me want to get the shot any more. I waded into the insane crowd and shoved my way to the front. I couldn’t get any good shots on stage but during the second song she came into the crowd and I was right there. All the other photographers were shooting from a hill 50 feet away…

I just think we should take a moment to talk about these paparazzi cameras for a second. I feel like they probably wouldn’t take great photos. Those flashes look ineffective.

This is Lou Reed.
I swear. I shot 3 photos of him at the Anthology Film Archives benefit last night before a security guard told me I was not allowed to take pictures of him. He played a really awful noise set over Maya Deren’s Meditation on Violence. What a prick.
Yeah, I know… It’s fucking Lou Reed…
